Mount Prospect, IL: Teen/Adult Outreach Librarian – Fiction/AV/Teen Dept., Mount Prospect Public Library

The Mount Prospect Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing team player for the full-time position of Teen/Adult Outreach Librarian. Duties will include providing services to local middle and high schools, building relationships with area organizations, staffing a public service desk serving adults and teens, conducting off-site STEAM programming, and promoting library services in the community. Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school required. Public Service experience in a public library. Experience with outreach and program planning a plus. Must have valid Illinois Driver’s License. Spanish fluency skills preferred.
Schedule: Full-time. 37.5 hours per week. Day hours Monday through Friday with one evening shift and participation in Friday and weekend rotations. The schedule will be flexed to accommodate additional evenings and weekends to execute outreach activities. Schedule subject to change if need arises. Annual salary $45,805.50
