The General Library System at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is currently recruiting for a Circulation Services Coordinator (PVL# 88102). This is a full-time academic staff position, available in mid-October and will join the Memorial Library Public Services Team.
The primary role of this position is to provide campus coordination for circulation services and policies in the UW-Madison Campus Library System. These responsibilities require good collaboration and communication skills, and a breadth of knowledge relevant to circulation policies, and the ability to apply these policies in all types of customer service situations. The position also requires a sophisticated understanding of the integrated technology systems that are used for supporting customer transactions, including user accounts, and other platforms that support lending services, as well as the ability to troubleshoot these technologies to ensure a high level of customer service.
As a member of the Memorial Library Public Services Team, this position also provides some general reference and information support for campus and Memorial Library patrons as well as information literacy and library instruction for the humanities and social sciences. In addition, it provides direct support to Memorial Library’s circulation services. This position may require some weekend and/or late night hours.
