Lancaster, WI: Youth Services Librarian – PT, Schreiner Memorial Library

The Schreiner Memorial Library in Lancaster is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, tech-savvy, and self-motivated Youth Services Librarian. Our ideal candidate has experience with children of all ages including teens, is comfortable with programming, collection development, and outreach, and would be excited to revamp our summer library programs for youth of all ages. The position is currently 24 hours per week; pay will be $16.50 per hour and includes prorated holiday pay and PTO as well as enrollment in the Wisconsin Retirement System.

Responsibilities are varying but include collection development, children’s programming (especially for upper grade school and middle school age groups), outreach and early literacy training, technology instruction, and social networking for children and teens. All staff also take part in collection maintenance, reference, and circulation tasks.

Schreiner Memorial Library underwent an extensive expansion and renovation which was completed in 2015, and the library sits in a beautiful park two blocks from downtown Lancaster. The library is an integral part of the community and recently won the 2016 WLA Library of the Year Award. Schreiner Memorial Library also runs a branch in Potosi, WI.
