Job Description: The Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a part-time (up to 20 hours) LTE Processing Archivist and Digitization Assistant to aid in processing and digitizing original manuscript collections of Wisconsin Veterans. The position will appraise, organize, re-house, and describe manuscripts, photographs and other original material in a variety of formats. The position will also identify and refer items for necessary conservation treatment, digitize manuscript and photographic materials for use in exhibits, on social media and for preservation, prepare finding aids for large collections, catalog all collections using MARC format, assign Library of Congress subject headings, and encode finding aids in EAD format.

Requirements: knowledge of archival theory and practice, experience with arrangement and description of manuscript collections following DACS, knowledge of content standards including MARC format, industry digitization and digital preservation standards. Familiarity with OCLC Connexion, experience processing military collections, and understanding of military culture preferred.

Salary range 13.00-15.00/hr.
