Job Description:

Washburn University invites applications for an Evening Instructional and Reference Librarian. The University Libraries seeks applicants who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and who seek to assume a leadership role in its First-Year Experience Program, emphasizing the transition of students into Washburn University. A successful candidate for this full-time, 12-month position will support evening Washburn Experience and Information Literacy classes and develop programing to engage students and promote Mabee Library resources and Information Literacy at Washburn University. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter liaison with responsibility for collection development and build relationships with assigned departments. Evening and some weekend hours required. The successful applicant will demonstrate an interest in teaching and reference service as well as a strong commitment to student learning and delivery of instruction. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
