SCAD seeks a research and instruction librarian to support the academic and creative needs of talented students.

In this role, you will provide innovative library instruction and research services to groups and individuals, form beneficial partnerships across the SCAD community in order to promote library resources and help develop library collections.

The ideal candidate is up to date and knowledgeable about general and subject-specific information resources and effective search strategies as well as emerging technologies that support reference and instructional services. You should demonstrate superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to plan and provide library instruction that incorporates information literacy standards and current teaching practices.

⎯ ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS degree
⎯ Education or significant research experience in one or more subjects offered at SCAD
⎯ Experience working collaboratively with faculty, students and staff in an academic library environment preferred
