If you like quirky, Anchorage is it!

As the largest city, in the largest state, we have a healthy mix of urban activities and the great outdoors. Anchorage is rated as one of the “greenest” cities in the US. Great parks and forests, wildlife out your backdoor, fishing, boating, kayak opportunities, to say nothing of the moose that wander the streets.

Our summer days are extra-long, with over 19 hours of sunlight in June! While that means our winter days are quite short, that doesn’t stop anyone from skiing, ice skating, and snow shoeing. In addition to the wide variety of outdoor activities, Anchorage is also home to people that love to create.

The arts are alive and well in Alaska, and the beauty is spectacular!

Join a team that is transforming our library, starting with a renovation in our central library slated to be finished the end of summer. We are a team that likes to think outside the box and be responsive to community needs. If you have energy, initiative, a strong sense of good customer service and a passion for libraries, join our team!
