KJM Library Assistant II – Circulation

The Karl Junginger Memorial Library is located in Waterloo, Wisconsin, approximately 30 minutes east of the city of Madison. The library is a member of the Bridges Library System and participates in Polaris, a shared automated system, which consists of 24 libraries in Jefferson and Waukesha counties. The Karl Junginger Memorial Library has a high benchmark for friendly customer service and a creative and innovative attitude toward collection development, technology, programming and expanding library services for all ages within the community.

The Karl Junginger Memorial Library is in need of a positive individual with a strong work ethic, love for books, and passion for technology to serve as a part-time Library Assistant II position. This is a non-benefitted position. Duties will primarily include assisting patrons, readers advisory, reference, and circulation. Hours are approximately 12 -15 hours per week in the evening including two Saturdays a month as part of a rotation. The hourly beginning rate for this position is $9.46. A high school degree and some previous Library work experience or its equivalent in a relevant business environment is preferred.
