Job Description
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Senior Fine Arts Reference Librarian in the Library and Special Collections department. This position will be responsible for managing collections, providing research services, and supervising reference library staff. The Senior Fine Arts Reference Librarian will also be responsible for the acquisition, maintenance of, and providing access to intellectual resources.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have prior library sciences experience in an academic/scholarly or museum library setting, effective oral and written communication skills, as well as a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Must also be experienced in cataloging and electronic resources like OCLC.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience managing staff and acquisition of materials for collections preferred.
