Description/Responsibilities: Anderson Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic professional librarian to provide services for children and caregivers, including creating programming activities, promoting early childhood literacy development, school age and outreach activities, as well as offering general reference assistance and reader’s advisory. Collaborates with department manager to oversee all staff and operations of Children’s Services, including development and implementation of creative programming activities for children, promotion of early childhood literacy to caregivers Collaborates with Collection Services Manager and department manager in the selection and maintenance of children’s materials system-wide. Collaborates with department manager to evaluate department services, procedures, and future objectives to ensure provision of excellent customer service. Serves as person-in-charge of Children’s Services during absence of the department manager.
