The University of Colorado Denver’s Auraria Library is searching for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader to fill our Resource Management, Department Head position. The Department Head is responsible for overseeing the work of the eleven person Resource Management Department. The work of the Resource Management Department includes the duties of a traditional library Technical Services department and more. The Resource Management Department is responsible for the acquisition, licensing, cataloging, metadata creation, collections analysis, and interlibrary loan of Auraria Library’s purchased content, in addition to, managing the on and off campus access to these learning materials and their physical maintenance. The Resource Management, Department Head leads the Library’s acquisition-to-discovery workflow of purchased library materials to ensure the best possible user experience and supports the Acquisitions Librarian in overseeing the Library’s $3.6M learning materials budget. This position provides leadership in the area of cataloging and metadata creation. This is a 12-month non-tenure track senior instructor position. High Plains Library District (CO)
Lead the High Plains Library District (CO) as it propels its services and programs into the future! HPLD embraces its history, while focusing on its future. The High Plains Library District Board of Trustees seeks an Executive Director who will work with both its founding member libraries and system branch libraries to unite the District and continue its work serving the 265,000+ residents of Weld County and neighboring areas over its 4,000 square mile service district. With a $34 million annual budget, 151 FTE, six member libraries, seven branches, bookmobiles, and service center, the District circulated 2.6 million items to 119,310 card holders in 2016. Key areas of focus include Community, Customers, and Facilities. Upcoming priorities are strategic planning, continuing the emphasis on community collaborations and engagement, and the renovation and expansion of current facilities. The successful candidate will be able to move easily among and work well collaborating with multiple constituencies including branch libraries, member library directors and their governing Boards, the HPLD Board of Trustees, community stakeholders, and a committed and dedicated staff.
This position will fabricate custom archival storage mounts for all archaeology collections. They will review and update catalog records, and capture and catalog digital reference images. They will oversee interns and volunteers assisting with the rehousing and documentation of archaeology collections. They will also work with curators to review and update catalog information, including cultural affiliation, in order to reorganize the collection by culture group in the new preservation facility.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Digital Collection Services (DCS), this position serves as the head of the Digital Repositories Unit, and is responsible for the technical, bibliographic, and metadata management of the CSU Libraries’ digital institutional repository system, including coordination of data files and workflows for collaborative processes. This position will be filled at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
This position works closely with staff in the Digital Library and ePublishing Services Division and other Libraries units, including Archives and Special Collections, to leverage the full range of library expertise and resources in building and managing the consortial digital repository, Digital
Collections of Colorado (http://dspace.library.colostate.edu), and its content. The Digital Repositories Librarian also serves as a member of the department’s management team.

PCCLD is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Digitization Coordinator, responsible for coordination of projects that promote the preservation and use of PCCLD’s Special Collections, including items of historical interest, valuable documents and photographs and other materials which preserve the heritage essential to understanding the local community, history, and culture. This position is responsible for converting archival materials to digital format as well as providing administrative support to the Special Collections and Museum Services Department.
