Research Support Librarian

Minimum requirements: Accredited master’s degree or higher in library/information science, or other relevant graduate degree with demonstrated familiarity with health information resources. Sufficient knowledge, through either academic coursework or on-the-job training, of quantitative concepts to explain them to others. Curiosity and ability to learn new/unfamiliar software to enhance the productivity of learners and faculty. Preferred: Experience with statistical software (SPSS, Graph Pad Prism, or other packages). Understanding of the research life cycle. Experience locating epidemiological and statistical data for health care decision-making. Experience with projects where stakeholders may not be librarians. Experience with a learning management system, and with survey software, such as LimeSurvey or REDCap. Experience with bibliographic citation management programs, such as EndNote.
