Rutgers University Libraries (RUL) seeks a dynamic, creative, and experienced individual to provide strategic direction and leadership in the creation and management of non-MARC metadata. This newly created position reports to the Head of Central Technical Services (CTS), and the successful candidate will serve in a department that is actively engaged in meeting evolving information organization, discovery, and access trends. In collaboration with CTS colleagues and other library units, the incumbent will create, process, and manage metadata and associated files for RUcore, Rutgers’ institutional repository. RUcore content includes scholarship deposits as mandated by the University’s Open Access policy, and special collections and archival materials that will be managed in a forthcoming ArchivesSpace application.
